European City Travel Guides, Tips + Recommendations

What I love about exploring new cities is the fact that you’re experiencing everything for the very first time. You’ve never sat in that cafe before, eaten from that restaurant, or walked along those streets. Everything is brand new. But with so many cities to explore, it’s almost impossible to go everywhere and do everything — especially if you’re only in a city for a short time. It’s also even harder to find those hidden gems, the places that aren’t too touristy and don’t charge you the “tourist prices”. So to help you make the most of your trip and save on hours upon hours of research, trial and error, I’ve created these European city guides with my top tips and recommendations for some of my favourite cities. These include cities in Spain, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Czechia, Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Switzerland and more.

Originally, I had made these European city travel guides for my closest family and friends. My goal was to not only share with them the best places to eat and drink, but also disclose all of the unspoken cultural tips and things you can’t easily Google. Things like how to avoid a public transport fine in Italy by validating your ticket, or how in the North-East of Spain they primarily speak Catalan (not Spanish). These are the golden nuggets of information friends tell you when you sit down with them over coffee and describe your European holiday itinerary, and now, I’m sharing them with you here. So strap in, save these for later, and just like I’ve done, please share these tips with your travelling friends and family.
